Our founder, a tea enthusiast, spent decades consuming the rich diversity of teas from around the globe. From fragrant jasmine pearls to many forms of Darjeeling, smoky Lapsang Souchong, and Earthy Oolong; tea opened a choose-your-own adventure of flavor, culture, and tradition that captivated his curiosity. It wasn’t until later that he discovered coffee shared a similar, if not greater, depth of character.

This revelation came with the first sip of a thoughtfully roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. Citrus, floral, nutty?! It was a spark—an awakening to the idea that coffee, like tea, is an expression of terroir, care, and craftsmanship. From that moment, the exploration of coffee’s duality began: its ability to be both bold and delicate, familiar and exotic.
